Questions & Answers

Everything you want to know about lash extensions — from what to expect at your first appointment to how to look after them at home.

A full set typically takes 90 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the style and your natural lashes. Infills are shorter - usually around 45-50 minutes.

Not when they're applied correctly. I always work within the weight and length limits your natural lashes can safely support. Keeping up with regular infills, rather than leaving them to grow out fully - also helps keep your natural lashes in great condition.

Classic Lashes are the perfect starting point - one extension per natural lash gives you a soft, mascara-effect finish that still feels very natural. If you'd like a little more, Angel Lashes are a lovely middle ground, and we can always chat about what suits you best when you arrive.

Lash extensions shed naturally with your own lashes over a 6–8 week cycle. Most clients come back for infills every 2–4 weeks to keep them looking full and fresh.

Yes - most makeup is absolutely fine. The main thing to avoid is oil-based products around your eyes, as these can break down the adhesive. You won't need mascara on your extensions, however you can wear mascara on your bottom lashes. Feel free to wear the rest of your makeup as normal.

Absolutely. Many of my clients are mature women who love waking up with beautiful lashes without the daily mascara routine. I'll always tailor the weight and style to suit the condition of your natural lashes, whatever your age.

Sparse or fine lashes are no problem at all. I'll assess the strength and spacing of your natural lashes and recommend the style and weight that works best for you - always prioritising the health of your lashes above all else.

Come with clean, makeup-free lashes - no mascara, eyeliner, or eye cream. Avoid curling your natural lashes beforehand, and remove contact lenses before you arrive if you can. If you have any allergies or eye sensitivities, just let me know when you book so we can plan accordingly. For the most relaxing experience, it's best to avoid caffeine for a few hours before your appointment, as it can sometimes make your eyes more sensitive or prone to fluttering. Please arrive on time to ensure you receive the full length of your appointment. If you're feeling unwell or have an eye infection, please get in touch before your appointment. If possible, tie long hair back or bring a hair tie for your comfort. Wear comfortable clothing. I play quiet background music but please feel free to bring ear phones if you would prefer to listen to your own music or a podcast. Not sure if you're ready for your appointment? Just get in touch and I'll be happy to help.

Yes. All cosmetic products used in your treatment - including lash adhesives, primers, and bonders must comply with UK cosmetic product safety regulations, overseen by the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS). Under these regulations, every product must be safety-assessed, registered on the UK Cosmetic Product Notification Portal, and correctly labelled before it can be placed on the market. I only use UK-based products that meet these requirements, so you can be confident that everything applied during your appointment has been independently safety-assessed. You can read more on the GOV.UK cosmetic products regulation guidance.
